- Solely for covering exposed edges of table tops, cabinet door edges, door edges, panel edges, cabinet edges to achieve a virtually seamless looking edge detail.
- This material is flexible for curved edges. This is not intended for large surface areas.
- Edging is applied like a laminate adhered with solvent based contact cement or 3M double coated tape 9832 or 9740. Kinon edging cuts with conventional woodworking tools such as table saws or routers.
- Material should be filed, sanded, and buffed to achieve final finish. Light color edges may need a painted base coat before Kinon edging is applied.
- Dark color edges may be stained with alcohol based stain Mohawk - Ultra TM Penetrating Stain prior to buffing to minimize appearance of glue line. These stains are sold by us, so please inquire if your Kinon material has a recommended stain application.
- KCD and L patterns not available as edging - specify the same base pattern and color with no cuts.

- Flexible for curved applications
- Phenolic material is one of our thinnest substrates at 0.03 inch thick and is intended for lamination to items such as curved structures, doors, MDF, plywood, particle board, sheetrock
- Phenolic laminate may be adhered with contact cements with standard laminating methods, or may be applied with wood glues in a standard cold press and or vacuum press systems
- Material cuts with conventional woodworking tools such as tables saws and routers
- This material is not intended as edging as it will have a paper line. Edge material should be used for such application. On large surface areas miters are recommended to avoid seeing a paper line.
- Some KCD and L patterns are not available with this substrate

- It is intended to be used for wet surfaces, shower walls, various bathroom cabinets/counters, various spa applications
- Flexible substrate for curved application this material is not structural and needs to be adhered to a substructure. If surfaces are intended for water application, ensure that substructures are suitable for wet areas
- Material may be adhered with contact cement, however in wet applications water resistant adhesives need to be used
- The material cuts with conventional woodworking equipment such as table saws or routers
- It cannot be cut with a laser machine therefore cannot be specified with L patterns
