Production does not begin until the following criteria is satisfied:

  1. All signed documents must be emailed back to sales@kinon.com and your
    representative.
  2. Signed estimate. This document requires there to be no handwritten or non-Kinon personnel notes added to the description. For modifications to be valid, estimate must have all proper references for the order correctly typed. If client needs something changed, the estimate must be updated by Kinon representative to reflect that change. The updated estimate then must be signed, dated and emailed back to sales rep by client. There cannot be any exceptions.
  3. Signed order confirmation document.
  4. Signed Specification sheet. This document requires there to be no handwritten or non-Kinon personnel notes added to description.
  5. Send 50% Deposit Payment by check or Wire transfer. Orders do not begin until Deposit is received. Remaining 50% Balance to be paid prior to shipment Any fast track orders must be paid in full upon order confirmation.
  6. Material confirmations of custom Kinon outside of our Collections require a confirmed image in the form of a specification sheet and by in person factory review of the first panel of the order, after which client must sign and date the specification sheet created for that material to initiate full production of order.
  7. Required signed and dated sample mailed to us, prior to production.

ADDITIONAL TERMS

  1. Custom materials not accepted by client are still the financial responsability of the client. If an alternate Kinon material is desired, it will be treated as a new order.
  2. Storage fees not included. Any item stored over 30 calender days will incur a charge of $25 per day.
  3. Payment by credit card wil have a 3% processing fee.
    1. International shipments must use air freight only. Never ship by sea.
    2. Orders picked up at our facility require a minimum 16’ truck with standard dock height loading capability of 44”
    3. Standard crate size is 154” x 68” for 5 x 12 panels and 201” x 68” for 5 x 16 panels
    4. Panels must ship flat (non-stackable).
    5. MDF panels have a maximum of 15 panels per crate
    6. Double Cast panels have a maximum of 30 panels per crate
    7. Double Cast 16ft panels have a maximum of 20 panels per crate
    8. Weight will vary depending on the quantity of panels.
    9. Kinon should be stored between 50°-80°F (10°-25°C) and kept out of the elements.

Excessive temperatures and extreme temperature changes will cause rapid aging and degredation of multiuple facets of the material.

  • All materials age and oxidize. Fresh Kinon comes lighter toned than aged samples Materials will age to the to the colors of the samples over time.
  • Kinon Double Cast is not structural and should be adhered to a suitable substrate.
  • Kinon Panels are handmade and have multiple shade, texture, and pattern variations. Expect small holes and/or pores on the surface
  • Do not apply protective films outside of manufacturer’s recommendations. You will receive Double Cast with our protective film. After removing film, clean material with Meguiar’s Last Touch Detailer D155 using a microfiber cloth. If there is residue from the film’s adhesive, polish with Festool 5010 using a buffing machine at medium speed.
  • Do not mix and match different lot materials of any light and white colors (white, beige, gray, silver). Use material for the intended project to ensure that material will age at the same rate.
  • Double Cast, Mold, and KCD Panels are not true 5ft x 12ft dimenstion. Actual usable size will be 58in x 143in (1473mm x 3632mm). Double Cast thickness is 2.5mm +- ,5mm. Mold & KCDs 3.5mm +- 5mm. Get confirmation of thickness from your representative.
  1. Cleaning and polishing materials (no recommended alternatives)
    • Meguiar‘s Last Touch Sray Detailer – for daily cleaning.
    • Microfiber cloths
    • Festol 5010 compount – for light scratch & scuff removal
    • Lambswool bonnet
    • 3M 36045 compound (same lambswool bonnet type) – for deep scratches
    • 3M Trizact wet sanding 1000/ 3000/ 5000
  2. Cutting Materials
    • Laminate grade saw blades
    • Test spindle & feed speeds when cutting with a CNC machine
    • Use wood grade drill and router bits when drilling a hole or routing out excess material
    • Always pre-drill when screwing fasteners into Kinon.
  3. Laminating Materials
    • Our factory uses 3M 94 CA Clear Contact Adhesive with 3M accuspray-one Gun using the 1.8mm nozzle. Apply multiple adhesive coats to both the Kinon and the substrate before laminating. Follow 3M specifications.
    • Make sure suface is clean and free of oil, dust, and debris.
    • When laminating a light color Kinon – paint the wood substrate with a white latex primer and allow primer to sufficiently dry before applying adhesive.

KINON’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH BUYER’S PURCHASE FOR NEGLIGENCE, BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY OR STATUTORY DUTY OR OTHER TORT IS LIMITED TO AND SHALL NOT EXCEED THE SALE PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS, AND KINON’S SOLE LIABILITY TO BUYER SHALL BE LIMITED TO REPLACEMENT OF KINON PRODUCT, OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF KINON PRODUCT, AT KINON’S SOLE DISCRETION, WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS OF DELIVERY OF THE PRODUCT TO BUYER. THE FOREGOING REMEDY SHALL BE SUBJECT TO BUYER’S WRITTEN NOTIFICATION OF DEFECT AND RETURN OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT WITHIN TIME LIMITATION SET FORTH ABOVE. KINON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND INCURRED BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY EVEN IF BUYER HAS ADVISED KINON OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. KINON MAKES NO WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE. BUYER ASSUMES ALL RISK OF LIABILITY FOR THE USE OF THE PRODUCTS IN COMBINATION WITH ANY AND ALL OTHER MATERIALS, PRODUCTS OR SUBSTANCES.
