How to fix holes in Kinon with matching fill stick: Part 1

  • Contact us to find a matching fill stick for the Kinon panel
  • Step 1: Acquire matching color fill stick to Kinon
  • Step 2: If necessary drill a hole to fit impurities
  • Step 3: Wipe surface of Kinon with isopropyl alcohol and microfiber cloth
  • Step 4: Use Fill stick generously and fill in holes
  • Step 5: Wipe off any fill stick residue with same microfiber cloth

How to fix holes in Kinon with resin: Part 1

  • Step 1: Mix provided A and B mixture thoroughly and let sit for about 15 minutes
  • Step 2: Drill hole to remove any impurities
  • Step 3: Clean and wipe surface with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth
  • Step 4: Take matching drill bit tip and dip into mixture to fill the hole with resin
  • Wait a couple of minutes to see if hole needs to refill
  • Resin needs to cure after 2 days 

How to fix holes in Kinon with resin: sanding and polishing Part 2 of 2

  • Step 1: Start sanding the Kinon with 800 grit dry paper
  • Step 2: Once ready move onto 1000 grit dry paper
  • Step 3: Start wet sanding with Trizact Foam Disc 1000 grit for Blending
  • Step 4: Continue wet sanding with Trizact Foam Disc 3000 grit for Blending
  • Step 5: Keep wet sanding up until Trizact Foam Disc 5000 grit for Blending
  • Step 6: Start polish with wool bonnet using Super cut compound
  • Step 7: Finish polishing with Farecla Profile 400 Advanced
